why is there an NHS dentist crisis

i just saw a bbc news report on the shortage of nhs dentists now and that many, 9 out of 10 practices are not taking any new nhs patients and that nhs dentistry is a dying out?

that seriously worried me as i have a couple of missing teeth, but i'm fortunate enough to have an nhs dentist...my question really is whats happening to this country? why are nhs dentist dying off or can't be found?

is it a deliberate plot to overturn our system and way of life here?

Same. I have a cavity and every dentist is telling me theyve reached their cap on the maximum amount of nhs patients theyre taking. They arent making money essentially with nhs patients. Other option is a dental hospital. Free of charge, student dentists and i believe its first come first serve or check the nhs website for nhs dentists in your area, it says if theyre accepting new nhs patients or not but its a bit dated or lacks updating. If you can just phone around and see if you can register at one you will be golden.
