What is the first news story you remember being broadcast on television (as a child)?

Mine was on a television like this, in black and white and it was of the assassination of JFK.

I never watched much TV. It was my father's property and off-limits when he was home. But i began reading a newspaper everyday when I was about 7. I remember the Kennedy/Nixon election in 1960 when i was 10.
