What is the first news story you remember being broadcast on television (as a child)?

Mine was on a television like this, in black and white and it was of the assassination of JFK.

It was JFK for me also...

We had a Zenith with a Space Command Remote - those buttons triggered little internal chimes which changed the channels and volume - ours was B&W not color like this one...
