A Letter to Washington, DC and all the ships at sea
Dear Mr. President,
I would like to point out something to you that I hope you will share with all the bureaucrats in your purview.
Especially since the release of the movies Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial, keeping mum on the subject of UFO's was not necessary. Again I turn to the movies, where every time visitors from space comes up, somebody (often wearing a uniform heavy with ribbons and medals and gold spaghetti) always says: "We have to keep this thing absolutely secret, or the populace will panic."
Well, we haven't panicked. All that those decades of denial, misdirection and flat-out lies accomplished is that we trust our government even less.
Think about that the next time somebody says that about panicking the populace.
Thank you, Sir.
