@jackjjackson For the sake of argument, let's assume that some of them are just going through a phase. So what? And what if at least some of them do not change? I will always err on the side of showing people respect.

@ShadowSister You don’t show respect for those advocating children take hormone blockers or encouraging them to chop off body parts. You/I don’t respect those denying reality. I do respect those with a mental illness, but you don’t play into it with them.
@Carissimi Fair points. I will tell my adult friends that I will no longer be using their pronouns because my friend on the internet diagnosed them as mentally ill, and because some people somewhere want children to take hormone blockers.
You used a word that seems to describe a lot of people , a lot of people assume their way of thinking is the only correct way to think .sad it is when they think they can never be wrong then they show their true colors again just my opinion ..@ShadowSister
@Repete @jackjjackson @Carissimi I am glad that we can disagree and still have a civil conversation. I don't ever want to get stuck in an echo chamber. SW doesn't seem to be sending me notifications when people respond to this thread anymore. You all know I am on the left, particularly on LGBTQ issues.
Carissimi, I want you to know in particular how much I value your friendship even if we disagree about some issues. You have said some very kind and supportive things on my other posts, and it means a lot. :)
