Peaceful Iranian’s missile attacks US Iraq concsulatw

Why don’t we resurrect Curtis Lemay and bomb all of their conceivable uranium making facilities and scientists into oblivion? We can’t let Iran continue merrily along. This is but one example.

All the more reason to kick Israel to the curb. They were the ones who provoked this attack by killing Iranian soldiers, after all.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Not logical whatsoever. You’re simply an Israel hater. @BlueVeins

@BlueVeins So, Israel kills Iranians.......which leads to Iran attacking a US embassy.......in Iraq.........which leads to the USA "kicking Isreal to the curb".

Have I missed anything here?

Also, what does "kick to the curb" actually entail?

I get that Israel and the USA are allies. I get that Iran attacked an ally of the nation which killed its soldiers. However, let's be honest here, Iran has hated the USA (and carried out all sorts of indirect assaults on the US) since the days of Khomeini. Seems to me that, for the last forty plus years, Iran has needed very little incentive to attack, usually indirectly, pretty much anybody and everybody that doesn't fit into its world view. And the USA definitely doesn't fit into its world view. Neither does Israel.

Also, Israel attacked a facility in Syria...........bloody hell, this is getting decidedly cosmopolitan........because it, ie Israel, doesn't want Iran getting any kind of foothold in Syria. Iran is, after all, one of Israel's biggest threats.

@BlueVeins Iran has been killing Americans since the black turban clan took over , Israel is our one solid ally there.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You gentleman have your fingers on the pile. Not sure what the other gentleman is thinking. @room101 @Driver2
BlueVeins · 22-25
@room101 Yeah, with the network of alliances people have built up, things are bound to get a little complicated and messy.

You talk about this as if it were a one-way antipathy or something. The US has gone out of its way to fuck over Iran again and again. Whenever the Iranians kicked the company that's not known as BP off their land, the US & UK cooperated to stage a coup, which installed a puppet gov't that ruled until '79. We provided intel and logistical support to the invading Iraqis and imposed numerous sanctions since then.

We've imposed numerous sanctions on Iran, put boots on the ground in Syria, who is their ally. We've launched cyberattacks against against their industry & nuclear facilities. We even arm and fund rebels in Iran that want to overthrow the current gov't.

Well whoopdy-fucking doo, that's literally the exact same situation in reverse. Israel attacks a base in Syria because it doesn't want Iran in an adjacent country. Iran attacks a base in Iraq because it doesn't want the US getting too close. Look, I ain't tryna say that the Iranian gov't is good or even decent; they're all degenerate conservatives who've been implicated in numerous atrocities as well. What I'm tellin' you is that we've bit tit-for-tat with them for decades and if we keep this up, it's never gonna end.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s the purpose of this thread. To end it. @BlueVeins
BlueVeins · 22-25
@jackjjackson Then we agree, no more aggression against the Iranians. Squash the beef.
room101 · 51-55, M
@BlueVeins

"......we've bit tit-for-tat with them for decades......"

Exactly! My point entirely.

So why mention yet another cause for tit-for-tat?
Why declare that it's time to kick Isreal to the curb?
What does "kicking to the curb" actually entail?
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson Can't see what Driver2 has said because, I guess, I'm blocked by that user. Don't even know who they are🤷‍♂️
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Yep. Once all the uranium sites and scientists are gone it ends. @BlueVeins

@jackjjackson If we denuclearize, the Russians are gonna nuke us, and banning an entire branch of science is kinda not super compatible with our values as a country... like, we'd have to re-write our Constitution.
room101 · 51-55, M
@jackjjackson I know that both the UK and the US are no angels, especially in the Middle East. But, I don't see how what Iran has been doing for decades is in any conducive to ending (or at least mitigating) to anything that the UK and US has done and is currently doing.
room101 · 51-55, M
@BlueVeins I'm pretty sure that Jack is talking about denuclearising Iran. Not the USA.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Correct. @room101
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Enough is enough. It’s past time to make it 100% impossible for Iran to develop nukes and I’m in favor of doing whatever it takes short of using a nuke to do it. @room101
BlueVeins · 22-25
@room101 So Iran has to get rid of its nuclear energy, while the US gets to keep its nuclear weapons and nuclear energy? What does Iran get in return for all this?

@jackjjackson Easy for you to say when you're above draft age.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I enlisted in the MarinesI went to Viet Nam in the70’s. Served two tours. I COULD say that alone gives my opinion more merit than yours automatically. However I’ll let the readers do it. @BlueVeins
BlueVeins · 22-25
@jackjjackson And yet, you show right back up to prove you've learned nothing from that war. It was a fucking disaster, millions of people died, the US's objectives were not accomplished, and we had to enslave millions of American men to do it. I feel bad that you were duped into fighting a bunch of impoverished revolutionaries who have nothing to do with us, so you have my condolences I guess.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s exactly why I am in favor of a 180 degree different approach with Iran. I grew up, made life long friends and business connections. While not agreeing with what later happened in Vietnam (horrible) I’ve never regretted being a Marine for a nanosecond. Based on your background your opinion on anything means nothing. @BlueVeins
BlueVeins · 22-25
@jackjjackson You fought in a war that you believe was unjust and you don't regret it?

And no, stop pretending. The approach you want to take towards Iran is exactly the same as with Vietnam. They rebelled against the colonial government we imposed upon them so you want to pound them into the dust. You're being ridiculous.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’m in favor of permanently denuking Iran and otherwise forgetting about that skankpit. @BlueVeins
BlueVeins · 22-25
@jackjjackson Cool, so let's go back to the JCPOA. They can't build nukes if they have IAEA inspectors in all their nuclear sites looking for anything fishy.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Nice Iran has never fully, openly and transparently accomplished that, they had their chance. Time is long since up. @BlueVeins
BlueVeins · 22-25
@jackjjackson Yes it did, we literally had the U.N. sending inspectors into the facilities making sure they haven't produced too much heavy water or enriched uranium above what's necessary for medical & electrical uses. Iran could not possibly make an atomic bomb with uranium that isn't enriched beyond 20%. In fact, weapons grade is around 90%.
