Both of them are fine with wasting over half of discretionary spending on the military, for example. The U.S. spends more on its military than the next ten countries combined. The one thing both liberals and conservatives agree on - an obscenely expensive military.

@stratosranger We are spending so much on the military, that the economy is literally dependent on it. I remember a few years ago when they were talking about sequestration, here in Georgia people were predicting a mini-depression because of how dependent we are on military spending here. It's literally socialism by any definition, but so-called conservatives won't admit it because for some reason, government spending on the military isn't "socialism" but government spending on anything else is.

We need to redirect military spending to infrastructure before there's nothing left to preserve.
