Putin must be pretty worried about domestic unrest if he has sent that many troops into a country but not able to just rampage over the capitol

It's a pretty big embarrassment to be so fully armed up but can't take a city defended largely by civilians. I don't believe it's a military calculation, he must be worried that excess bloodshed sparks a revolution in his home base

Its interesting that the troops he sent into Ukraine are mostly from Siberian Units. There could be many reasons for this. But high on the list would be the fact that Moscow Mothers wont have to look at too many body bags returning home..And if trouble does start in that region, he still has all his local loyal troops close by.😷
