Not as a result of this action, Russia is nowhere near being the military superpower it once was, much of its military equipment is antiquated and most of their soldiers are conscripts. Sure they could use nukes but they are also surrounded by Nations that have nukes of their own and the US has fleets in the ME Gulf and Med that have as many if not more nukes. Putin's economy is tied to Oil and gas revenues, what's he going to buy goods with if the Ruble goes in the shitter? Their Navy is outnumbered by NATO as is their Air Force. Putin can rattle his sabre all he wants to but it is China he should be most afraid of, not Ukraine or NATO
