Looking at US news outlets.. both left and right are extremely biased

How is anyone supposed to have a grasp on reality when news media is politically charged and creating conspiracies on both sides? The US government and media having as much influence as it does on the World makes it a threat to access of reliable information.

I don't even believe the two sides are all that real. It was mostly fake drama to keep the peasants bickering while the rich rewrote the laws to always win at their expense. Trump was actually the first candidate from outside the system that neither side had control over. Not that he isn't an incredibly unsuitable presidential figure, but he was like a six year old with a shotgun walking into the scene of a professional bank robbery
