Can Trump be trialed as an ex-president?

Iran is in a precarious situation. While it was not OK for Trump to go through with that stunt, Suleimani was the mastermind behind multiple assassinations in Iran, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Lots of Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians and Lebanese would have loved to see justice in court, but he's now dead.

Trump's primary fuckup is pulling out of the nuke deal.

Of course, but the US has a long standing policy of not allowing Americans specifically American politicians to be subject to international law.

Most of Congress and every modern president would have to be cleared out.

Of course you can, and we have little sway over other countries jurisdictions and laws. He could be tried-and maybe-right here in the US. And because America is great, he could still run for president as a convicted felon.

No such verb as TRIALED. Perhaps you mean CHARGED. In any case, Iran is hardly a paragon of justice and fair, humane treatment. Why should any American be subject to Iran's justice system?
Would Iran allow their former president Ahmedinejad to be tried in the US?
