Any deep thinkers on this site? Or should I ask who you have a crush on?

If you are deconstructing or you're an ex-evangelical, what would you say if you could go back in time and talk to that version of yourself? I would say it's okay to be wrong about doctrine. Err on the side of love. And stop trying to reconcile contradictory scriptures. You?

It's refreshing to hear the story of someone who trusts herself enough to step into the realm of possibilities and construct her own truth. It takes more courage than you might imagine.

And yeah, it's okay to grow beyond the confines of what's handed to you. I grew up very religious (Irish Catholic) and I treasure what it gave me. Today, I'm more universal, more interested in compassion and kindness than how many Hail Mary's to say. If you follow love, you can never get lost.

@Graylight Aww. Thanks! ☺️

Thankfully I never fully fell for it. I remember testing God at 5 and he failed then as well.
