Getting ready for Winter.

Yesterday I cleaned the gutters, raked the leaves into big piles, put the deck furniture away and cleaned the deck. Winter's coming, might as well be prepared. Are you ready for winter yet?

@Guardian @Sevendays I live on 3 acres of poplar, oak and hickory trees. Me and my 24v leaf blower.

@SW-User The leaf blower definitely helps. What do you do with all those leaves?

@Sevendays I blow them deeper into the woods the direction the wind blows. They blow from across the road too. And all my neighbors yard waste and clippings 🙄

@SW-User i call someone with one of those trucks with a vacuum to suck them up. I hope they come today before we get much wind.

@SW-User We pick our blowing places. Massive oak, maples and poplars are just no match for a blower. Besides, if we live amongst them, we might as well enjoy the beauty of their cycle. 🙂

@Sevendays I love the leaves everywhere. We just keep them to a manageable depth. The chickens give us amazing mulch with what we give them.

@Pinkstarburst That's just right, far enough to get away from traffic and crowds but close enough to go to town to get what you need.
