I Love Wearing Shorts In The Winter

As my little self, I do love to be outdoors walking or 'playing' in shorts even in the winter because I love the freedom and airness that even after wearing long turn up socks gives me. Surprisingly I find such a combination warmer than longs with ankle socks. The fact this is a run on from formal childhood is a bonus.

I've noticed a lot of postmen wear shorts even in poor weather. If you can stand the cold they are probably more comfortable than long trousers either wet through or with the burden of a pair of sweat-inducing over-trousers.

Having been out in this mornings shower in my shorts and long socks it was less damp on my body than wearing any pair of longs

Oh, yes, I know - I agree it would be, but I'd struggle with the cold.

@ArishMell I agree - Arthritic knees should be better cared for and it would not be too nice to expose them to cold air too often and too long.

@TraditionalSchoolboyChris Long socks do go well with shorts. Are you comfortable to be seen out with shorts and long socks. I wouldn't have the courage.

@James57 Yes, particularly as the area in which I live is the very same that I grew up in and where many who knew me then can see me today. I can walk into a shop or past former schoolboys and their parents and nobody bats an eyelid.

@TraditionalSchoolboyChris you should do squats to make your legs stronger. can get one hand spin lock bar and put the weight plates on it for right weight and hold it between your leg as you do squats at home while watching tv. you can do bicep curls tricep press and shoulder press with it too while watching tv. you can do calf raises too. if you want to go to a gym then can do leg curls and leg extensions also for your thighs. 😺

It is good that there are right opportunities for you to play in shorts in winter. Will it be snowing at your place?
