i live in a very "wintery" state. that sounds very well and good, but the reality of winter is more like feeling the moisture in your eyes and lungs freeze as you try to get from your house to your car. not knowing if your car will get you to work in the morning or if you will get stuck and freeze to death. shoveling snow while bundled up with 5 layers of heavy clothing to the point that you can barely move. looking at the weather forecast and seeing -40 with a wind chill of -60 and hoping they cancel school that day. listening to your furnace run non stop and everything you touch you get a shock from because there is absolutely NO moisture in the air inside your house. the fantasy of warm blankets and hot chocolate sounds nice, but you really can't do that for 6-7 months straight.
