The Woodland Trust in Wales is giving away free trees! I applied online a few months ago. The are supplying people with native British trees to plant in their gardens. ( its too late to apply this time, but its likely they will do it again in future) Mine arrived yesterday. Now....i dunno quite what i was expecting, but my 'twigs' arrived on Wednesday and are now awaiting me to plant them in a suitable spot.
Does anyone have any advice for me please? As they are tiny baby trees, should i put them straight in the ground....or plant them in a pot first to start them off?? Also, with it being so cold and frosty right now, i wouldn't have thought its the best time to plant them out??
Id pot plant then first. Feed them. Then replant them once theyre a bit bigger. You will need space so pick a suitable area. Well done for planting trees 馃尦 馃憦 馃憤 we have so many around us but planting a chestnut soon
