When do they produce fruit?

Having problems getting mine to bloom and produce. Oldest is about 7 years.
@icedsky planted mine from a lemon seed purchased at Aldi's. they say they won't produce fruit but planted mine just to see if it would grow, planted a plum seed last week to see what happens

@icedsky last fall I threatened it that I was going to chop it down if it didn't start producing. Took it out this spring and there was a lemon on it. Seems to take a long time to mature. At least nine months.

@Tastyfrzz I will have to threaten all mine with a Bonfire.

@saragoodtimes Mine are all still outside. Ill pack them in soon though. Still kind of a late summer here in the PNW.

@icedsky they like compost, lots of water and lots of 10-10-10 fertilizer. I put like a cup of it on it three times at least this year.

@saragoodtimes Damn things have grown some serious spikes! 2 inch long harpoons
@icedsky had frost Sunday but was dropping in the low 40's so I brought them in just to be safe
@icedsky got pricked a few times by them. sure hurt like hell

@saragoodtimes thorns are about two inches long and tipped with something that burns like crazy. I wrap my tree up on blankets when I move it.
