Does anyone know the name of this tree? [I Like Trees]

Smells so good I love it. And the blossoms are only there for a short time.

Almost looks like a Magnolia for which the scent is marketed as a perfume.
@Lilymoon The Magnolia has large, shiny and dark leaves (Unless there are multiple sub-species) The scent is incredible!
@Lilymoon Right. I’m used to the white ones, but they don’t look quite like your photo either.

@NightsWatch that's funny. 🤣
@Lilymoon 😁
That looks like a smaller version of the chestnut tree I have in my backyard. It has the samw lwaves and flowers but lots of trees look similar xD
@Lilymoon guhhh...well maybe that tree should have an "accident" 😈
Lilymoon · F
@MrBlueGuy yeah don't think I haven't thought about it. 🤣

I think that might be a honeysuckle... They do smell wonderful!
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
@Lilymoon Short and Sweet :)
My mom used to pick those blooms and put them in her car so it would make the inside of her car smell good :-)
Lilymoon · F
@Snuffy1957 not a bad idea I should bring some in the house.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
@Lilymoon She did that too :)
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M

Lilymoon · F
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@Lilymoon now if we could just make it alcoholic
Noble · 56-60, M
It looks like a Cucumber Magnolia, or Blue Magnolia. 🌳
Noble · 56-60, M
I don’t make things up (too often).

If memory from my college dendrology class serves me well, that’s what I would think. @Lilymoon
Lilymoon · F
@Noble ahh ok yeah I looked it up...I think this is a cucumber magnolia...didn't know they existed! 😁

Noble · 56-60, M
Good deal! I love helping solve mystery’s. @Lilymoon
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I think it's a "don't have a bleeding clue" tree 🤔
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Lilymoon don't try to dissect it to find out information... The information is not the tree... So sayeth Yoda

Enjoy the tree 🤗

PS I believe coveffe is is need of a new home .....
Lilymoon · F

Lilymoon · F
@Pretzel Ahhh ok... well you could be right. They do smell like lilacs. 👌
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Lilymoon and it doesn't matter what you call it - it still won't move or talk back :)
Lilymoon · F
The app PictureThis identifies it as a common lilac tree.

I was going to say Magnolia tree
Lilymoon · F
@SW-User yeah I'm pretty sure it's not, but you never know. haha it sure does smell good.
@SW-User Magnolia leaves are large, dark green and waxy. One of my favorites!
Japanese lilac tree.

Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
It's a magnolia. The scent is divine. But they're always dropping leaves.
Lilymoon · F
@Crazywaterspring you think it's magnolia? doesn't look like one. 🤔
SW-User
Dunno! The flowers are cone shaped maybe a lilac??
Lilymoon · F
@SW-User Yup .. the consensus is it's a Japanese lilac. 👍
SW-User
@Lilymoon ohhh cool
Azlotto · M
Kinda looks like a dogwood.
Lilymoon · F
@Azlotto hmmm yep it's similar. but I think dogwood has flowers whereas these are blossoms.
