That's fun - I'm doing the same with a palm tree started a year ago from a seed found in a parking lot in Florida...it's about 2 feet tall now!

@fun4us2b I'm just observing and learning how it's done. 😅 My father planted a palm when I was little and the palm grew up with me. It's still in a pot because it wouldn't survive the winter here and it reached the ceiling so now I'm worried what will we do with it if it won't fit in the house anymore. I'm not completely attached to it that I wouldn't want to give it to someone else. But if I won't have any other option then I have to be sure their new owner will take a good care of it.
@CrazyMusicLover You can move the palm to a corridor with high ceiling..or call up your local museum and donate it. It’ll be well taken care of.
Does it have any new shoots/baby palms?

@Vivaci No new palms despite that it blooms from time to time. I remember how my father planted a really large number of trachycarpus palms once because he doubted many would germinate at all and then he didn't know what to do with them. 😆

@CrazyMusicLover My father planted a fir tree in his garden when my nephew - his grandson - was born. Now it is a massive tree!
😂 that’s adorable!! @CrazyMusicLover

@CrazyMusicLover Great Story - That sounds like what might happen here. The winters here are definitely too cold...Sometimes when you cut trees an inch or two above the soil line they start throwing leaves and branches - I really don't know much about growing palms, maybe google will have some advice...
