Wind turbines... 😡 [I Love Trees]

The trees are suffering for these wind turbines!!! Plus all the wildlife habitat!

They are raping the land. Stealing the trees that keep our air clean and cool. Without the trees we will die with them.
Plus those tall windmills kills thousands of birds a year. That's just the beginning. The roads they have to make for the .. farms.. all the trees they cut down to make the roads. The wildlife....Run for cover. The diesel engines of the trucks and machines...puffing out black carbon for months on end. All to help!

BS!!!

West Virginia just received 200 million dollars for a new Wind turbine system..farm. It cost 4 million dollars per tower.

Did you know since 2019 they begun to rape the woods in Ecuduor of Balsa wood for the standard blades that goes on these windmills?
So every Tom, Dick and Harry grabbed up their chainsaws, axes and begun to eliminate the Balsa wood. Now they are looking for some other meanings.. another wood.. whatever to make the blades since.. most of the Balsa wood is gone!!
Ohhh....The buyers pay $1.50 per tree to the workers in Ecuador too... unbelievable!!!

Folks better think this alternative energy through a bit more IF they really want to help global warming! Cause the trees are NECCESSARY to keep us cool and the air full of oxygen!!

It is everyone's responsibility to research on what is best for our planet Earth and Mother Nature. And just don't run blindly into the future!

This just means that Balsa trees have a huge value and tremendous Balsa plantations will be created. There will be more Balsa trees than ever!

@walabby oh my... awesome positive thinking and vibe. Cool.. thank you!

Ah so it's better keeping burning and coal/oil, in your opinion? Deforestation kills trees, not wind turbines, for the record. And oil leaks potentially killed way many more birds and wildlife than 100 years of turbines will, the great majority of them are intelligent enough to stay away from the blades.

Even trucks and trains kill birds/animals, we haven't banned them.

@Elessar we are considering solar panels here at our home. The set up cost is the big expense. The batteries and redoing the electric system.

But the country just cant stop coal and oil production. They have to have... at hand..something working already.

I am a tree hugger... so I feel deeply about our environment.

@ShadowWorker If I didn't live in a flat I would be considering them too. Maybe one day, since I plan to move to the countryside, I think I'll get them (and I hope that by that time they'll be more reliable and hopefully cheaper). It's a ~10k expense, installation and all, over here, atm.

No, no, I agree; the transition will necessarily take time and won't happen overnight, but it has to start and wind turbines are being installed exactly with the "we need something at hand and working already" concept in mind.

I live in a city that will potentially be gone within the century if the sea level raises even minimally. So yeah, me too.

@Elessar I know.. wind turbines are a start .. it just broke my heart to see all the trees being cut down and reading about all the birds each year dying.
I guess it's a yin and yang thingy! Sigh...

Climate change has been going on since the beginning of time. Every thing runs in cycles..patterns.
So much is messed up now.

Wind turbine blades are made from Carbon fibre. The oil/gas industry is the mainstay..

@Quimliqer I just read several articles that said differently. They are coatings the Balsa wood. Ask Google to direct you to Balsa wood for the blades. You will see. They are standard, a common use.
