I Love Trees
Outside my bedroom window stands an ash tree and an elm tree, two of the loveliest indigenous British trees.
In Norse mythology, when the world was being created, Woden carved the first man from an piece of ash wood and the first woman from a piece of elm. So I don't know if these trees have deliberately been planted side by side, but it is nice to think they have 🙂
The World Tree, which supports the heavens and provides a link between this world and the divine, is also an ash tree. So it is a pretty awesome tree 😌
