As a Muslim, if you had a chance would you want to live in Saudi Arabia? Why?
No. Because i lived there once for 11 months and i wouldnt want to visit it ever again in my life. As an author, writing on science and religion i approached the Muslim World League in Nigeria for the publication of my manuscript on the subject. The country director, despite appreciating my work, said he couldnt do anything without authorization from the headquarters in Jeddah, thus he advised giving me a recommendation letter. I collected the letter and travel to Saudi Arabia on a visit visa. After delivering the letter, the waiting game begin which eventually extended to 11 months before it fully dawned on me that they are not going to do anything about it. In my every visit to the office, officials will tell me it will soon be worked on. I had to extend my visa twice. In between those months i came to understand how the mind of the saudis worked. I have never met people that are as racist, shallow, self centered and heartless. Despite the outward salafist puritanism, they are deeply superstitious and fetish. An officer in one of the offices i used to visit, seeing the title of my book “Science and Spirituality” thought i am versed in the occult thus begin to cajole and patronize, offering me money to assist him in vodooism, while failing to assist in the book publication. Africans, Bengalis, Pakistanis were treated less than dogs but White people, especially Americans were worshipped. An average Saudi is no more than a semi illiterate. All kinds of sexual pervations were existing under the facade of puritanism. Women domestic workers were sexually molested and due to the “Kafili” system (akin to modern slavery) they suffer in silence. Homosexuality and Lesbianism has eaten away many in the society, which I attributed to the extreme segregation practised there. Saudi Arabia is a police state that doesn't respect human rights, especially of foreigners. It is the worst country a foreigner could live. Most affluent foreigners in the kingdom deals in drug trade, racketeering, pimping and other illicit trade. Few make it in legal businesses. The country encourages laziness amongst its citizenry as most of them slept by the day to begin activities late in the evening. Sleep and gluttony had crippled whatever intellectual capability the citizen may have.

Saudi is rich and affluent but beneath that glitter is rottenness beyond comprehension. The last place I will visit is Saudi Arabia.
