It got a little warm today..Officially 42.9

But out around our way 43. to 44.I filled the bird baths twice and both times the magpies arrived while I still had the hose on. The clever buggers have worked out how to hide in the shade under the bench my wife used to sit on..
They tell me our state was officially the hottest place on the planet today, with some places making 47.. Many towns under threat from Bush fires. Those firefighters are in for a rough few days.. Thoughts and prayers boys & girls..
Looks like summer is here a little early this year..😷

About the same in southern Arizona in the summertime.

@whowasthatmaskedman I live up in the mountains closer to Flagstaff. It’s 25 F cooler than in the valley. ( Phoenix)
I’ve been in Death Valley on a motorcycle when it was 52C.

@jackson55 You win. I did a 50C day in Dubai once.. Once was enough.. When the real heat arrives here it is often with a hot north wind that feels like standing in front of the worlds largest hand dryer..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Same in Phoenix. Zero humidity.
Niether me or the motorcycle was happy in the heat.

Year by year it seems to be clearer that Australia is really not fit for human habitation.

@22Michelle Everywhere is effected by climate change. But Oz is a land of cycles anyway. It is gradually getting warmer. And that drags a little more moisture into the air and make the cycles more "dynamic" (read extreme at either end) So the droughts are droughtier and the floods are deeper and more frequent. We dont get snow so as you would notice. And we get a lot more sun... So PV panels are a good thing here.. Mine cover the heating in winter and the A/C in summer..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman More extreme than your normal extreme climate. Doesn't sound like fun.

@22Michelle Neither is a freezing blizzard (which we never get) or a serious earthquake.. Living has its dangers wherever you are. Personally I felt more nervous moving around San Francisco than any place else I have been. Between the earth tremors and the guns..I guess it depends on what you are used to..😷
