Kookaburras here start around 6am in winter 90 minutes before sunrise. They are Kingfishers and there is a dam not far away.

@Stephie No and not a sort after food either. Too small not worth it. Emu isn't bad. Kangaroo is a perfect meat. Low Fat. Wombat is great as well but protected....that is a long story.
