The downside of having paid leave in summer is that the alarm clock cooes at 6.45

And there's no way to snooze it, besidea getting your 🍑 out of bed and giving it rice

Coo-coooo-coo will continue until the morale improves

Where's the problem? A BB gun et voilà. Breakfast is ready by 8am. Free food unless of course, you are vegan. Then you have a problem indeed.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@Stephie It's definitely illegal to use a gun in a residential area here, plus they're basically pets to me, they come for breakfast every morning

Gangstress · 41-45, F
@Stephie are you american. Because the readiness to kill is ridiculous.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Stephie Do you eat doves? 😅
Stephie · F
@Gangstress Not American of course. God forbid. Pigeons are a nuisance in many areas of this world and there are even special teams that try to control that pest.

https://www.pestdefence.co.uk/news/are-pigeons-vermin-or-protected/

Also, would you consider someone that eats rabbits as being violent because to many, rabbits are pets and should not be eaten. Rabbits and hares can be a pest also, notably in Australia.
Stephie · F
@CrazyMusicLover I never had any but why not if the opportunity arises.

"Dove meat is a lean, dark meat with a distinct, rich flavor that some describe as "gamey". It's often compared to duck breast meat, but some find it to have a milder flavor. Dove is also known to be quite tender and fine-grained, especially the breast meat..."

@Elessar ...and then you wonder why they wake you up in the middle of the night? 😂

@Stephie Bear in mind there's many because we raised them for centuries, then we collectively forgot about them and released them at once all of a sudden when modern telecommunications were invented. Now they're seen as pests because they poo (something that humans and other domesticated animals notoriously never do, right? lol), and because some dumb NYC politician once labelled them "rats with wings".

Imagine the public outrage if the same treatment was given to stray cats or dogs.

Society has massive double standards on this matter imo.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@sarabee1995 Yeah Italy (especially north) is extremely strict with firearms, even toy firearms if they aren't clearly marked with the red indicator on the muzzle will definitely get you into massive legal trouble. Even blades beyond a certain size and improper weapons (think of like a screwdriver or a sub knife) can land you into trouble if, respectively, unregistered or carried in public.

Then you go in the south and you'll find all sort of undeclared/unregistered weapons, or people celebrating NYE by shooting with actual rifles in the air, and "firecrackers" than can potentially pierce the armor of an M1 Abrams, but that's another discourse lol

@sarabee1995 I sent a comment to your whiteboard and before you reply please understand you are super cool and I think you are REALLY cool and I have seven best SW friends I consider my favourite friends on Similar Worlds but if my SW best friends list was added to 8 you'll join too and I mean it your SO cool! 🙃🙃🙃 I do not like guns at all myself if I am honest but I'm super happy the 2nd amendment makes you happy and my 80 year old grandparents love the 2nd amendment too so I want you to know you'd get along with my granny and grandad! 😘😘😘 Sorry I bug you I just think your super duper cool! 😔😔😔
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Elessar Yes, in the north more strict. I get that. Weirdly, the same is true here -- much stricter in the north.

BUT a BB gun is not a "firearm". There's no gunpowder. The little steel BB is propelled by a puff of air. Yet, you are saying it is regulated like a firearm? Or is considered a firearm? That's crazy to me.

The difference in capability, function, etc between the two is night and day.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@sarabee1995 Just checked: below 7.5J (joule)they don't need to be registered, above 7.5J they 're legally a firearms with the usual known restrictions
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Elessar Interesting. Thanks. 🙂
Stephie · F
@Elessar Now, everyone needs to know what a Joule is, not to confuse with Jules, a French first name...

@KiwiBird hmm, I was thinking more of the Jules like in Jules Verne 🚀🌊
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Stephie A "joule" is a measure of energy. In this case, the amount of energy imparted to the BB.
Stephie · F
@sarabee1995 I am aware of that. Joules have given me several nightmares just before my tests 🤔
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Stephie Break it down into calories....simpler and less of them. You can even eat the tasty ones.
Stephie · F
@KiwiBird I have made the experience of getting carried away with Joules during my last holidays. I am still paying for it now ☺
