Happy Summer Solstice from East Coast US 🌞

We celebrated at the beach! I didn't take any pics because there's a butt load of people here now. But I got this little cloud 🤍

And in proper Cancer/summer baby/Eastern shore fashion 🦀 I made crab cakes and old bay fries for a summer feast.

Caping it off with a little rose outside.

Cheers to the heat!

I grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland. No place better in the summer months especially if you are near the ocean. Enjoy!
@BiasForAction in the Bay area? OC? I'm in Delaware about 20 minutes from the ocean.

So you know about some blue crabs and old bay lol
@ScreamingFox oh not so fortunate. Mid-shore not far from the Delaware line. Sudlersville — but nobody ever heard of it lol
@BiasForAction never heard of it 😂 I looked it up, was is still marshy out that way?
@ScreamingFox not so marshy just flat farms (corn and wheat) one after the other. Towns of 200 people every 5 miles. A few rivers that flow into the Chesapeake Bay.
@BiasForAction sounds like home. It's changed completely where I live.
@ScreamingFox well yeah if you’re close to the ocean and beach that attracts people and development. I know so many people who have retired to Delaware and the beaches there they love it
@BiasForAction I get the appeal. But it kinda sucks now 😂 I live 20 minutes away, it takes me about 1.5 hours to get there in the summer. It's VERY overcrowded. I grew up here when it was a sleepy beach town in the off season. Now it's hard to get food, medical care, jobs... Everything is geared towards retirees and tourists. Not my thing anymore.
@ScreamingFox I get it. I’ll cros it off my retirement list of places to live.
