I Love The Rain In The Summer

I just stepped out into a summer rain. The warm air was dotted with cooler drops of falling water.

I felt your warm breath on my skin and each raindrop was your lips touching my flesh. I spread my arms in greeting to the rain and your presence.

Tasting the fresh drops as the dampen my lips and tongue, I long to hold you in my arms.

My memories of you are refreshed in the warm summer rain and like the thirsty plants, my heart soaks up the thoughts of you in this rain and is rejuvenated.

I step back inside moist from the rain and refreshed with thoughts of you.
