Flowering wild beauties

There is a distinct lack of wild flowers around this spring so far. A ditch down the lane that had primroses has been dug out to help with drainage off the field.
Hopefully they will come back some time. Other places are just so muddy or splashed heavily with water from the roads that nothing much is growing. But, I did spot a tiny patch of Celandines. Anywhere else, these would have been too common to mention as they usually grow profusely on the edge of ditches.

Yes, everywhere seems to be the same. Not as many daffodils this year, too. We have clay soil, and there are puddles in all the garden beds. Shame. But to make up for it. Yesterday I sewed lots of vegetable and flower seeds in the greenhouse.
