Spring in the hood 😊

For 20 years, regardless of how heavy or light my heart has been, I have been able to step outside my door and take comfort in this little world just going about its business. Trees blooming, birds returning, sun warming, grass greening. It has been a lovely place to be. ❤️

What a lovely, flowering, tree-lined avenue!

We had all that happen here last month, and later.

Now it feels like summer here, since it is in the 90's! The spring flowers are fading and the land drying out. But it is supposed to rain tonight!

I went for a country drive today, but the heat made me feel ill. I stopped at a supermarket, bought a quart of chocolate milk, paid for it, took a seat in the front of the store, and drank it all in like 3 minutes. Then I gave up on my country drive, drove home, and took a long shower. I feel better now.

@JoyfulSilence we were only in the 50s today. Been a cold spring so the blooming was late, but soon it will be raining petals. I’m always a little sad to see them go, but the deep greens of summertime are lovely too.
