The pictures you share of your farm may be my very favorite thing on this site. Thank you! ❤

@Harmonium1923 You're welcome. Just to spread some beauty every Spring.

almond blossoms are very pretty, they remind me of something else but I'm not sure what, I want to say a specific type of orchid but I'm not sure
has it been warmer there before today, and the bees were more active?
is it too soon to know if they were pollinated enough to set fruit?
the lichen (?) on the tree trunk is pretty too, it makes it seem like this spot is a damper microclimate?
your ancestors' home looks interesting too, do you know how old it is?

@ThirstenHowl it is really good. If you have farms of almonds, which I am aware your country is big on, do visit them. It is a great experience and the bloom season is soon

@Miram it's a shame this structure has fallen into disrepair, it looks like it was pretty neat during its better days. In the third pic down in particular it looks like nature is trying to reclaim it, but that also if it was possible to keep the roots and such under control it would nice having vegetation semi-enclosed by the structure, like in a courtyard or exterior passageway or something.
How long has it been abandoned?
In the last pic, what are the red flowers?
In the top pic it almost looks like a thin Mediterranean cypress behind the ruined wall, I love those trees.
In the vicinity of this home, what would you say on average is the maximum annual temperature? Were those walls good at keeping it cool inside?
The only place in the US I've ever heard of almonds growing in any significant numbers are California (along with date palms, olives, citrus, virtually anything seems to grow in California), and that's the only place I've ever seen almond trees with my own eyes, but only while driving, I wasn't able to stop and smell them, that would've been nice. I don't recall for sure as this was a decade ago but it seemed possibly like some of the almond trees were dying due to the historic drought at the time (which I assume has been ongoing ever since). But I may possibly be mixing the visual memory of dead fruit trees with some other type of fruits in an area closer to the coast, going into the coast mountain range in either northern Sonoma County or southern Mendocino County (the almond trees I think were only in the Central Valley). I guess all I really remember for sure is I did see multiple dead or dying fruit trees somewhere along that drive, which was sad.
Thank you so much for sharing all of this, the images and the detail, it is always quite interesting to me 🤍
And spring is absolutely my favorite season (at least in zones that actually have seasons). Maybe I'm genetically biased since I was born in spring, but really I think it's a no-brainer regardless, everything is becoming more colorful in way corresponding to the vigor of new life (rather than the color of waning life in autumn, which while still pretty, doesn't have the same vibrant vibe. My favorite colors are greens and blues as well, so green seems to inherently be a part of spring. And while it's usually still green in summer, anywhere I've ever lived in summer is always hellishly hot and humid, and not as bedecked with floral panoramas, so summer loses some dimensions to me in that way. (In a cooler climate, maybe summer would more resemble my idea of spring, who knows.)

I love the spring when weather and light is changing for longer days where powerful colors are inspiring us.
