In sweden we have a childrens book where a little girl made a friend with a magic snowman that she built, which started to melt in the spring.

She hurried to scoop the rest of him into a small bucket and placed it in the fridge, but eventually it was all water.

Next winter she took the same carrot and pebbles and made a new one, which brought him back to life.
