The Meteorologist Has A Snow Fetish….

Won’t see him on the evening news until the subject of snow in the forecast pops up. Then he plays it up getting children all excited. Usually don’t get half of what he is forecasting. Here he is again tonight saying that we have a chance of snow this evening in central Oklahoma.

Same here. We get a few flakes but rarely do we get a real snow fall. Only happens ever 5+ year or so. But here in TN as soon as they say wintery mix they start closing schools. I grew up in NJ. Schools rarely closed, they would quote federal law that says schools have to stay open so many days a year.
Over the last two years seems every school system violated Federal law by closing schools.

@BizSuitStacy they’ve used 4 out of 5 snow days here so far. Three of them last week. I don’t think this will stick this time.

@cherokeepatti My cousin teaches 1st graders in Virginia. They get 10 snow days a year...use 'em or lose 'em. She gets angry if they don't use them. If they exceed the 10 day limit, they add on days to the end of the year. Then she gets even angrier. LOL.

@BizSuitStacy The boy said they might do Zoom meetings if they run out of snow days but they don’t really learn much from those.
