I Love Snowsuits

I grew up poor. In the winter, a one-piece snowsuit was cheaper than buying a separate jacket and snow bibs. So snowsuits were my winter clothing of choice. My dad--I was raised by him--was very old fashioned in his outlook, which was OK, but a little embarrassing at times. As soon as the temperature went below freezing, the snowsuit had to be worn. I didn't have a jacket for fall, just a sweatshirt, so the snowsuit would be worn basically from October until April. That was all through elementary school. When I hit junior high, I graduated to insulated coveralls.
