Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what's on the other side?

Not many will say it, yet it has plenty of religious significance across multiple religions.

Fact is the prism effect of rainbows existed long before the earth was formed. There are rings around even planets outside of this solar system. Which is basically a rainbow effect.
