Would you own a venus fly trap or a sundew plant?

Or any carnivorous plant?

I think they're pretty cool, I think I'll own one someday :)

Yes, think I'll start looking for a Venus right now. Never heard of the other ones

@calicuz sundews put out what look to be water droplets... but actually they're quite sticky and traps insects that land there...

Then they wrap them up and absorb the parts they want, and then drop the rest.

@Viper

Very cool, I'll look into both

@calicuz if I remember correctly, the last time I looked into them, the big difference was how much water they like...

Like they both disliked standing water, but one prefer it to be drained a lot quicker than the other

I had a baby venus when I was in high school when I worked at a nursery garden and craft store. It didn't live very long but it was pretty neat until it died.
I kill plants. Not intentionally, of course, I just have the opposite of a "green thumb".
Probably not a good idea to get one that might seek revenge…😳

Only if it can catch its own bugs

@SW-User they do catch their own bugs... also, if you give them good soil, and water, and drainage, and sunlight, then they don't need the bugs...

The bugs are just extra when they only have bad soil...
