I Love National Parks
I just finished up a great road trip with my family. Some people may think it was silly. It has been on my mind to do something like this for awhile. It exhausted me at times but looking back it was great. My son actually said he was tired of mountains and trees. He will tell you we visited eighteen national parks. I make a joke to him when we are in the car and say 'Oh that looks like a lovely trail! Let's go check it out!' I do it just to mess with him. We drove through Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming and stayed with my aunt in Idaho. We visited Teton and Yellowstone and celebrated the 4th of July. We drove west through Idaho and Oregon. It was crazy country out that way. You don't pump your own gas in Oregon. We saw a beautiful sunset and sunrise. The next day we hiked the trail to the top of Multonomah falls, went to Canon Beach in the rain. Then we set out to Washington and visited Mount St Helens and got rained on at Mount Rainier. We then set out to Montana but my rental car had a tire losing pressure. My son changed the tire to the spare one and was quite the hero. We spent an extra night in Washington to get the tire fixed. We spent three nights in Kalispell, took a great hike and raft trip in Glacier. We froze our booties off during a red car tour up the Going to the Sun Road. We were plum tuckered out when we set out for Colorado and spend another night in Casper, Wyoming which rewarded us with another beautiful sunset. I caught my son admiring the sunset. We spent three nights in Colorado and visited my daughter and my cousin. My son caught up on some basketball with his sister and I experienced home brew beer and did a little beer tasting compliments of my cousin and her husband. It was nice chill time with family.
I spent the last 3 days at home and will return to work tomorrow night. I had a massage one day, my hair done the next day, and a root canal today. That's another story but prayers were answered to get in so quickly. Last night was rough but now I'm on the mend. It's hard to keep a good woman down. Time to work again, my credit card needs a rest.
