I live within walking distance of what is called a beach. It's part of the Bimini basin. But, since the boaters throw their waste (of all kinds) over the side, it's a non-swimming beach. And now there's a huge condo complex going up that blocks part of the view as you pass by. Only been here 5 years, but is that really progress??? Lovely place to look at, but geez! 😕

@YoMomma I believe that they fine individuals on occasion, and there are people who pick up litter in the area (adopt a highway type activity), but there are no major plans to clean the waterways. I guess the state makes too much money on boating licenses and such. Way of the world, sigh.
