Reminds me of a bible parable about the pruning of the vine. And the fig tree that bears fruit.

@SethGreene531 are you from Brownsville tx?

@Mindful Sorry not sure I get your reference. And no, no where near Texas, sorry.🤷♂️

Your kindness and reference reminded me of someone from that city - a pen pal@SethGreene531

@Mindful Oh that's sweet, have you guys lost touch? Sad when that happens.
I'm not him I'm afraid, but thanks for the touching compliment just the same.☺️ 🤗
Here's hoping you reconnect or find a new pen pal.
I'm closer to Niagara Falls, Buffalo NY actually.

Nice, (Niagra falls) I used to have a pen pal from that area as well but she was female. Back in the day- pen pals were a big thing. People wrote letters across great distances. Unfortunately, i lost touch. And have moved so often in life I don’t have the letters. I kept them for a while. @SethGreene531

@Mindful Really?, how nice. Yes pen pals are another vestige of our past, lost to the fast paced world of email and social media "friends".
I remember it was very common, and a point of pride to have someone to correspond with. Waiting weeks for that snail mail letter to arrive.
Even as children we had pen-pals. Unfortunate you don't still have yours, I have a few tucked away and try to keep most - one as far away as the Philippines, and the island of Palau, South Pacific.
What a shame the tradition died out.
