What's the most bone-chilling sound you've heard in nature?

It's a tie, for me, between a tornado and a pack of wolves howling.

1. The tornado was approaching our home, where we had taken cover in the hallway. It destroyed our home and killed my neighbors.

2. I was at the gate of a national park at 5am, waiting for the park to open. It was still completely dark outside, and I was sitting at a nearby picnic table with some other people. The wolves were very close when they started up.

For me, it was being out in the Nevada desert and hearing nothing. No cars, no planes, no people, no animals. Just... utter silence. It was really unnerving.

@FaeLuna The Nevada desert is a strange and mysterious place.

@ArtyFischel It sure is. I'd definitely go back though!

@FaeLuna That place makes me think of Area 51, aliens, small businesses capitalizing on aliens, and the testing of nuclear bombs.

@FaeLuna no wind sounds?
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@iamnikki There was an occasional gust of wind, but on that particular day the winds were mostly calm.
