When the light is "filtered" by the clouds, the colors often seem more vivid. Back in the '90s, during a daytime eclipse, the colors of the leaves and grass were so intensely beautiful.

@Byron8by7 That's very true, almost giving them an intense bluish tinge. I remember seeing that once and you're right it was gorgeous.
