Thrilling for you - but I hope for their sake they don't get comfortable in a residential area.

@hlpflwthat We live one mile into the woods, on a mountain ... they mean no harm.

@Echoing Well those are last year's cubs and they're checking out your place for one reason - food. Any small pets? :) She'll be giving all of them the boot before long so she can mate again. I'd love to see them in my yard too.

@hlpflwthat We have a Pitbull, who remains in a pen, he hates all other four legged critter... the mama bear would kill Rolo..cause he would attack. Then there is Sky, a wolf/German shepherd..97pds...and a dozen cats in a chicken poop with a ten foot run that is attached to a pen/living room. I don't trust the Hawks, Eagles nor Owls. :-) … and now Emma!

@Echoing Well that would explain their curiosity - lots of food & poop and smells that intrigue bears. We hear once or twice each year about this time of a young bear trying to feed himself from some community's trash cans. The best of those outcomes result in the bear getting 'relocated.' Too often they just get exterminated 😞
