I Love Nature

The Invasion has begun!
A very big realtor, friends to our governor, has purchased the land across the creek and a portion of land on our side of the mountain.
They are turning a once upon a time Park, into a commercial vacation/hunting resort.

sigh..

The construction began a couple of years ago. They hired the Barnwood Builders, the ones on TV, to reconstruct these hunting cabins here and a huge beautiful house on the other side of the creek. They also have stocked the creek with trout!!

Now they are turning this 35 acre area that is connected to us into a hunting "bowl." They are renovating an old farmhouse, they are NOW working on, that sits in the middle of the 35 acres. They have put in this awesome fireplace into the farmhouse! It is amazing! They are going to rent it out for $500.00 a day, the workers told us! They have feeders set up for the wildlife to have their final meals. Little hunting houses in every corner of the property. They also built a shooting tower that looks over the land.

Our … single lane logging road, which is our driveway is a right way to that old farmhouse and hunting bowl!!!!!!
Since there has been so much rain here they can't cross the creek to the old farmhouse,.. following me?
So, here comes the workers, if we are driving in or out as they are... someone HAS-TO back up!!!! sigh...

Only one neighbor, right before we turn into our driveway off a blacktop road is dealing with this.. traffic..lol…. 2-4 trucks a day.
They pass only feet away from his back door, as we do each time we go to town.
So much stirring-up is going on here.
The folks on the other side of the mountain has been dealing with all this commercial BS reconstruction for the past two years.
Now it's knocking on our door. They have offered to buy some of our land.
Of course the answer was NO!

I guess next hunting season, no telling what the hell may occur. Luckily most of all this recreational activity will be across the creek... sigh .. who am I fooling?!

Speak to an attorney specializing in property use. You may be entitled to damages from nuisances and the lack of quiet enjoyment. Do it soon in case there are statute of limitations. Most attorneys will give a half hour consultation at no charge.

Done did! When they fixed the electricity in the old farmhouse, they opened up the right to the right a way! Big money realtor isn't scared... and doesn't care. @MikeSp

@Echoing doesn't matter whether he cares or not. If you get a judgment against him, he has to pay. OTOH, he may be a reasonable fellow with no idea that he is affecting the neighbors. Maybe meet with him and explain the issues?

Awesome idea... we talked to the foreman, and told him to tell "The man" we need to talk. Luckily in our mile driveway, it goes thru cattle farms of two farmer's lands. Also.. they can't widen the road once you enter the woods... because the side of the mountain is on one side and the other is straight down the mountain. We want him to fix his side and stop using our driveway as a short-cut. sigh.. it's a mess, and makes me...pissed-off! The workers are very respectful as they go by our house. They agree this ain't right. (hometown men)Thanks!!@MikeSp
