I Love Nature

[c=#000000]I was coming home from my destination the other day and the sunset was so gorgeous that I took a few pics at the park and ride off the hwy. While I was there a snowy owl was perched on the light post. He sat posing while I attempted to take a decent pic of him. He flew away and came back just before I left to go home, glaring down at me indignantly. Unfortunately my attempts at getting a good pic were in vain. Rather unfortunate because they are gorgeous birds.[/c]

That's a glorious orange sky....and such a cute owl. Lucky you!
@Vivaci I wish I could have taken a clearer close up shot of him. The colouring indicated it was clearly a male. He was getting annoyed with me I think..LOL

Thanks my friend, appreciated.
@sensualbeauty1 LMAO...I think it's family or nest could be nearby. Which is why it flew back to that post. Maybe you were close to his babies and Mrs Owl ...🤔
@Vivaci They usually come down from the far north I've heard. I'm not sure if it's because the main food source up there is scarce or for other reasons. 🤔🙂
@sensualbeauty1 Hmm...that's true! I think they migrate to warmer places and if this is just a pitstop on it's migration path, then maybe it's just relaxing for the night.

And it came back coz it's a shy owl who loves oogling at gorgeous blondes! 😉
@Vivaci That could be true about the migratory part although I know with the Grey owl they arrive here because of the scarcity of their main food source up north.

As for the latter, you are always too sweet, although I'm sure he was just annoyed at me for disturbing his slumber or look out over the valley. 😉😋
@sensualbeauty1 I've been a member of the birdwatching club so we did watch fascinating documentaries on migration. Aahhh...your post brings back such lovely childhood memories! Thank you, dearest B! 😏

Lol! 😘 So are you....nah! I will stick to my logic. 😉
@Vivaci Birds are such fascinating beautiful creatures. They're many ornithologists in this area because of all the different species that migrate here year round. You're very welcome my lovely friend, I'm glad.

Well you are always such a sweet lady, thank you again. 🤗😘
@sensualbeauty1 True.. I wish I can pursue this hobby after I retire.

Love n hugs! 🤗✨
@Vivaci You truly should my friend, I hope you do. I had a client that followed her dream of becoming an artist after she retired. One of her beautiful paintings adorns part of the wall i my bedroom.

Love and hugs to you as well. 🤗😘
