It's a beautiful day! Just got back with a load of wood. There are ladybugs everywhere! The air is filled with them flying around. By the end of the day, they WILL find their way in the house. So many already inside most of the windows.

With lady bugs do you mean ladybirds ? The red ones with black spots ?
It was commonly believed the ladybug scourge was the result of the Agriculture Department releasing ladybugs to eat aphids plaguing the apple orchards in Adams County and surrounds.
I was just reading it is now believed it may have been caused by ladybug stowaways on a Chinese freighter docked in New Orleans. Do not ask me how they think they know that nor how the ladybugs got to Pennsylvania from Louisiana.
They are sweet. Individually. En masse, they drive you insane. I lived in a two-story house with white siding. During The Days of the Ladybug the entire southern side of the house would be orange - colored by thousands of ladybugs. @SW-User

No, I am firmly in favor of humane treatment of critters. We will use a certified ladybug travel carrier with water and a suitable selection of ladybug food, with a tiny individual cot for each ladybug. @SW-User
