I Love Nature
I love how nature can bring us to such a strong present moment awareness.
Sometimes, when I found myself in nature, I regain consciousness, I feel like waking up from slumber, in a way that I go from being totally lost in my thoughts, to be completely focused on what is happening within this very moment. In this state, I'm so immersed in the landscape, mesmerized about everything that surrounds me like if I was looking the world through the eyes of a 3 year old again. I can hear the birds singing, I notice how gentle and relaxing is the sound of the wind flowing through leaves on the trees and all vegetation, I feel the warm sun on my skin, I lose track of time, it's just beautiful.
One thing it always gets my attention is how peaceful nature can be, while we are always on a rush either in our minds or in the body. But this doesn't make me feel bad, quite the opposite, I'm actually relieved that I can still sit and let things be, even for just a brief moment. I think maybe we should learn from nature and make our lives a bit laid back in this age full of distractions and deadlines, maybe put the phone away and stop polluting our minds from needless thoughts and JUST BE, like our ancestors.
