I Love Nature

I wanted to venture out and about today to check out the last days of the vibrant leaves of Fall. It was extremely windy with periodic bouts of drizzle and some rain. Every now and then the sun peaked through the clouds like a ray of hope for a better day. Someone once told me it was God's angels gazing at us from Heaven between the oceans of vast clouds. We drove for quite a few miles to areas where it was pure open country with acres of corn and soya bean crops. The leaves in some areas were spectacular and in the places where it's primarily deemed a tourist region I was so happy to find hidden spots of glorious beauty.

I'm going to miss the Fall as the leaves are probably going to be all off the trees soon. A beautiful soft blanket of fabulous colours decorating the cold damp ground. I thought it would be nice to share what I captured today. Nature is a wondrous thing as are landscapes and old buildings that have stood for a century or two. The rapidly flowing waters of the Rideau river were surrounded by the Fall colours. My only thought was it would have been so much more beautiful if the sun had come out to reflect it's radiance and make the leaves even more spectacular.

Beautiful pictures! What was the old stone building?
@plywood Thanks my friend; I believe it was part of the old ruins from a bygone era. I didn't get the exact date and what it actually was as it started to pour out there as I took pics.
