This Is The 25th Anniversary Of An F-5 Tornado Hitting A Nearby City In This County…

Set a new record for wind speed and devastated parts of Moore, Oklahoma and other cities as well. It was on the ground for 38 miles. First of 3 very destructive tornadoes taking an almost identical path and creating a lot of damage for Moore.

I remember too well. We were in Columbia, MO for a meeting. Weather warning looked serious and the meeting called off just as it was starting. Everyone scattered and as we were leaving town the rain and wind intensity was so severe that we took shelter at a service station/convenience store. When the signage got ripped off by the wind the store clerk showed us the way to the large walk-in refrigerator.

Was thinking about you and others when I heard of the possibilities.

Hope you have near by shelters.

@cherokeepatti the only natural disaster that I'm concerned about, no shelter would help.

I'm literally living on top of the San Andreas. And city hall will be gone a split second before I am.
