Anyone experience the Non hurricane that hit southeast Florida Wednesday and Thursday? A friend of mine said that it was pretty bad and she had little to no warning of a storm like that coming. She sent me this chart of recorded wind speeds that are absurd. Not sure how the meteorologist missed this one.

@wildbill83 a little wind? We're talking about wind that could not only tear your roof off but also flood your house at the same time AND throw your car down the street. We're also looking at floods that can go above 5 feet
@Mistakesmakeus that's why truss hurricane ties & hurricane resistant doors/garage doors are required here, despite the fact that hurricanes rarely make it up here (the last time was Hugo in '89). 60+ mph winds are common in winter months if, like me, you're literally on top of mountains/ridgeline
as for cars, that's probably why you don't see many people with shitbox imports around here...
