We Had A Tornado Here On My Side Of The City Sunday Night & No One Is Calling For Donations Of Anything…

Churches are offering things to the storm victims, one big nearby church is giving free lunches, Salvation Army sent a food truck out in the neighborhood offering meals, and churches are giving supplies to those who need it. The city officials & police said on the first day they didn’t need anything yet but if they need donations they will put it out on their website for people to donate. This is the good thing about living here. We take care of our own to the best of our ability and if a call for donations is put out it gets met quickly.

It's always great to see how the people of this country really are, so happy to help others after a disaster. The propaganda media wants everyone to hate each other, but that is not who Americans are.

@AbbeyRhode It’s this way in Oklahoma. We’ve had so many tornados and many really violent ones that it’s just a habit we’ve learned automatically to want to help quickly. I have things I could donate if needed but no calls for it now. The media loves to focus on negativity. And I think what really, really helped with the attitude to help here is that our local media will put out a call for donations or help and when people respond they will focus POSITIVE attention on those who do with stories or praise. They know that everyone who contributes just wants to be appreciated to know that they are making a difference for others and it goes a long way to give thanks and positive attention.

@cherokeepatti Nice to hear your local media uses their power to do some good.

@AbbeyRhode one station has not been bought up by conglomerates and I think they do it best. The others want to compete so they do it too
