We Had A Tornado Here On My Side Of The City Sunday Night & No One Is Calling For Donations Of Anything…

Churches are offering things to the storm victims, one big nearby church is giving free lunches, Salvation Army sent a food truck out in the neighborhood offering meals, and churches are giving supplies to those who need it. The city officials & police said on the first day they didn’t need anything yet but if they need donations they will put it out on their website for people to donate. This is the good thing about living here. We take care of our own to the best of our ability and if a call for donations is put out it gets met quickly.

My friend’s home had roof, fence & car damages. He called into work on Monday telling his boss that he was in the tornado area and needed to get his car fixed. His boss gave him a free night at a hotel here and also cases of bottled water and a generator for him to have electricity until the power gets turned back on. His cousin has a used car lot and gave him a loaner so he wouldn’t have to drive his car with broken windows. Also sent his roofer over to tarp the roof for free where the other roofing companies were going to charge $.
